I honour that Calgary rests on the traditional territories of the Blackfoot Confederacy: Siksika, Kainai, Piikani, Stoney Nakoda Nations: Chiniki, Bearspaw, Goodstoney and Tsuut’ina Nation, and is home to the Otipemisiwak Métis Government, Districts 5 and 6.

 

As someone who lives here, I reflect on guidance to walk gently—living simply, and tending to the stories and well-being of all who share this place. May my actions grow from these commitments. You can learn more about the land and find resources specific to you here.
